New Years Resolutions

I am not normally one to make New Year's Resolutions, but this year as a married women I decided to give it a try. I was trying marriage in the 2011, so why not something else. They are as follows:

1. No Starbucks during the week.
2. Become a better tourist in my own town

Here's an update on what and where I have been so far.

1. I blew this one pretty quick. I barely made it to Feb. That being said, I have switched drinks. I have gone from a Latte, to a Misto. I got this idea from reading a blog. Now, I like the Misto a little better and.....it is cheaper. My drink was $5.02 or $4.98 (depending on which county I was in), OMG that sounds so hickish/jappy. Anyway.... I love a deal.  I feel like a won the lottery with every order. As if to say, ha ha Starbucks I have you figured out. Yeah right,  I am still over paying for coffee.

2. I am doing really well here and in fact I have sort of taken being a tourist in Indy, to broader definition: Doing things I have not done before. I am grateful for this as it has helped to force myself to get outside of the box and do things I would have otherwise not committed to. I am happy to say, it has made me happier and dare I say it, more laid back.  Below are some of the things I have done:

1. Started a blog, just for me no one else so I can remember 2011 when I am old.
2. Tried Yoga. I thought I hated it, but I tried Bikram and loved it!
3. Went early to my National Sales Meeting and stayed with Heather and Todd of the Cutter Family. Normally, I would not have bothered. Although, I LOVED ST. AUG when I was there in Nov and wanted to go back. I was greatly rewarded with new experiences (YOGA!), meeting new people, and some good old fun.
4. Went to Miami with my high school girls. Very little drama and a lot of fun! Also bought the Tom Ford glasses I have wanted for forever!!!!
5. Took Mom to Chicago. KK planned an awesome weekend. I have never had so much fun with just my Mom and sister.
6. Bought swimming "toys". Courtney helped me with stroke technique and I loved it so much...I bought  a kick board, paddles, and buoy all wrapped up in a pretty pink bag. I feel so official.
7. Got certified to teach Spinning. I have talked about this for forever and finally did it. Now...just to find a place to teach. Stayed Tuned.
8. Tried New Restaurants:
   *Mesh On Mass
   *3 Wiseman
   *Coopers Hawk
9. This one shall go un named for a little while longer, but something new I did not expect!

I am sure there are things I am missing now that is March and I am just writing this down. Although, I have to admit. I am very excited about it all and thrilled I challenged myself!
